Fishery Rules

Arrival – not before 2pm.
You must check in with the owners before driving to the lake
Departure - no later than 10am
It is not permissible to drive along the banks and a barrow is provided for offloading
Vehicles are not allowed off the track. Please drive carefully and considerately around the estate. Speed limit 15mph
No vehicle movement after 9pm
No lakeside fires, other than camping or angling stoves
No stoves or souces of naked flame allowed in the utility building
Please use the bins provided for litter and cigarette ends. Please do not discard ANYTHING on the banks and fields (cigarette butts, teabags etc). If we have to collect litter there will be a charge
No swimming in the lake
A dog may be allowed by prior arrangement.

Protecting the fish

Maximum three rods per angler. Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water
Absolutely no sacking or retaining of fish allowed
Rods must not be left unattended
Fish must not be lifted out of the water in just the net, break the net down and slide the fish and the net into the retention sling making sure that the carps fins are flat and lift onto the onhooking mat or cradle
Fish should be out of the water for the minimum time possible, have everything organised
Fish may not be retained in the sling for more than 15 minutes
Ensure that you have a bucket of cold water to keep the carp cool and wet
Fish photos must be taken in the kneeling position or preferably in the lake
Biosecurity; All nets to be soaked before use and slings, mats and waders to be sprayed, this will be done by the owners at the farm
A suitable antiseptic treatment like Klin-Ik must be used at all times
Minimum 15lb mainline, fish safe rigs, micro-barb or barbless hooks only
Braided leaders must be coated or covered. Lead core is not allowed
No particles (except tinned sweetcorn/carp pellets or pre-prepared particles purchased on site) and no nuts of any type
No baits to be used which contain Sulphite (or similar) artificial preservatives
